Andrew Lamerton
Founder & Director

As founding Director and Principal Structural Engineer at Measure, Andrew’s technical and management experience in both single discipline structural engineering and multi-discipline environments spans in excess of 17 years, where he has collaborated on projects across Australia and the UK.

Andrew is highly sought after by leading architects, developers and builders for his expertise, methodical approach and unwavering commitment. As a result he has forged long standing partnerships with many market leaders. Andrew’s understanding of the practical construction landscape enables him to lead his team in delivering solutions which are practical, creative and deliver tangible benefits to his clients.

As director of Measure, Andrew has assembled a complementary and specialised team who share an aligned pursuit of technical excellence, innovation and quality.

 
 

Mandi McDowall
General Manager & Engineer

With a lineage in the construction and demolition industry, combined with on-site experience including the supervision of landfill construction, environmental drilling rigs and large-scale remediation projects, Mandi is well versed in the practical side of construction. 

Mandi’s 16 years of consulting engineering experience has seen her work in the UK and across Australia with sectors spaning construction, engineering and environmental services.  

A pragmatic and progressive leader, Mandi’s passion for business drives organisation efficiencies and growth. Mandi has been instrumental in defining and implementing Measure’s strategic vision. Mandi is responsible for overall business strategy and direction, business development and commercial performance.

Jun Zhou
Technical Director

Jun has worked as a structural engineer for over 16 years on various high-rise buildings and medium to large scale commercial and residential developments up to $950M, as well as steelworks and underground structures.

A highly competent engineer, Jun provides technical direction and input to the multi-residential/commercial team at Measure across both Queensland and Victorian offices. He is highly experienced in design management, value engineering and value management throughout all phases of the project.

Career highlights include lead design engineer on Redevelopment of 102 years Equity Chamber heritage building into new modern style Hilton Hotel (17 levels new tower and 6 levels above heritage structure), the Brady Melbourne CBD Hotel (32 levels), the NAB HQ tower (40 levels), the Batman’s Hill MQ Residential Tower (40 levels), Knox Sport Centre/State Basketball Centre. Jun was also part of the design team for the Victoria One tower (77 levels), $600 million Freemasons Eastbourne luxury apartments, Chadstone Shopping Centre Redevelopment, Westfield Knox Shopping Centre Redevelopment, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Redevelopment and Brisbane Metro Cross River Rail Project.

Jun has developed strong working relationships with many of the leading architects, developers and builders. He has a natural ability to workshop collaboratively with the project team and stakeholders to achieve cost effective and sensible structural designs.

As a key team member, Jun contributes to all aspects of the business including overall strategic planning, technical direction, tendering and project management.

Brett Wall
Associate - Structural Team Lead

Brett is an experienced structural engineer with over 15 years working in engineering design over a wide variety of projects across Victoria and NSW. Most recently working at WSP/IrwinConsult on large scale commercial and civic projects up to $80M, but with a background in residential, industrial, and commercial projects in NSW.

As a grounded engineer Brett utilises his technical expertise to adopt a practical approach to complex engineering design. He is able to ensure construction on projects remains as cost effective as possible while maintaining primary architectural intents and achieving practical and buildable solutions suitable for all stakeholders. His experience in steel, precast, concrete, masonry and timber allow him to provide innovative, efficient and effective designs.

The team of engineers Brett leads in the Melbourne office primarily focus on our residential, educational, civic and commercial projects. He is further able to apply his previous experience as part of the Senior Leadership Team providing input to the day-to-day business operations, core initiatives, and organization-wide policies and procedures.

 
 

Julio Monterrosa
BIM Manager

Julio is an experienced BIM Manager having worked previously for global and national engineering and building consulting firms such as WSP and Arup. With 19 years’ experience he has been responsible in leading these multi-disciplinary businesses transition into the digital built world for buildings & infrastructure projects.

As BIM Manager at Measure, Julio has driven the development of the strategic plan associated with the implementation of the Revit Software and associated Building information Modelling (BIM) systems to support national business objectives. This includes overhauling the BIM systems within the Structures division including the streamlining of modelling templates, parametric components, drafting standards and implementation of automation.

Managing the BIM team at Measure, Julio works directly with the senior leadership team to implement key initiatives and ensure continuous improvement across both the engineering and BIM departments.

Sarah Peterson
Operations Manager

Sarah’s career has led her to several different areas in both a commercial and not-for-profit setting within finance, construction, architecture, sales and event management. It has enabled her to utilise her skills in some diverse and interesting organisations both around Australia and overseas.

She is passionate about working with people and has extensive experience building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels both nationally & internationally.

A member of the Senior Leadership Team and managing the Operations, Sarah’s focus at Measure is on company culture, business strategy and continuous operational improvement across all aspects of the business.

 
 

Agnel Vaz
Associate Civil Engineer

Agnel is an Associate Civil Design Engineer,  responsible for the delivery of the varying civil engineering services at Measure.  With over 30 years within the construction industry. he holds vast experience across stormwater design, planning, co-ordination and management of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. 

Agnel has a solid understanding of multidisciplinary projects and is confident liaising with various stakeholders, local governments, and clients. His experience includes managing projects against quality, safety, time, and cost controls and has demonstrated determination when faced with challenges.

Agnel is an integral part of Measure, managing the civil team and overseeing the successful delivery of all civil projects while producing practical and cost effective civil solutions.
